Hi all,
This is my first post on reboot.pro. I have been invloved in multibootusb development project quite some time. The project source code is here https://github.com/mbusb/multibootusb. Recently the project has been updated/ migrated to python to make it true cross platform utility. The other download details of older (and new) binaries can be found https://sourceforge.net/projects/multibootusb/. The project web page is http://multibootusb.org.
Enough of the project info.
Coming to the real issue. The major plus point of the project is that the dynamic update of syslinux.cfg/ isolinux.cfg files depending on distro type and provide proper link to those files from main syslinux.cfg like this
CONFIG /multibootusb/slitaz-4.0/boot/isolinux/isolinux.cfg APPEND /multibootusb/slitaz-4.0/boot/isolinux
This way the boot menu and option of the original iso are kep intact.
MultiBootUSB currently uses syslinu version 4 as default boot loader. However, the issue comes when the isos are created with different version of syslinux. As I can see from the syslinux project website, there are currently 3 major versions are maintained 4, 5 and 6. Is there a way to chainload different syslinux/ isolinux (isolinux.bin) version? so we need not have to worry about syslinux version incompatabilities.
