Trying to get window PE3 via Winbuilde-PE7 project to hide the icons on the desktop at boot time.
I think I need to put this registry key in
HKU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\HideIcons: 0x00000001
I know how to do this in a live windows box, but have no clue as to how to do this with PE builder, cant see an option
(that works) that lets me add this to the registry and then build the PE ISO via winbuilder.
When I try and use the regedit feature of Winbuilder, it opens my own local machines registry, which is of no use!
I also need to hide the start menu (not with autohide, but completely remove it).
If anyone has any pointers, i'm happy to listen.
I'm a veteran of Windows and regediting, but being honest I am a newb with winbuilder.
I've read the tutorials and searched various forums already to try and find an answer, but now I'm desparate so am asking you guys!
