pcw.sys BSOD when plugging in a hub (intel usb 3.0)

Hello all,

  I recently got windows 7 pro to boot off my USB drive and installed all my drivers for my laptop (including intel usb 3.0 drivers (link: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=21129) and everything works great - EXCEPT when I plug in a hub into one of the ports.  Within 2-3 seconds of plugging the hub in, I'm greeted with a BSOD saying that pcw.sys is to blame.  Digging deeper, I discovered that my registry keys gets reset back to their default values:

My values:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\systemdst\ControlSet001\services\iusb3hub

start = 0

group = boot bus extender

Default value:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\systemdst\ControlSet001\services\iusb3hub

start = 3

group = bus

I then have to take my usb drive to another machine, load the hive and restore my these 2 reg keys, then I'm back up and running.

The work around is to uninstall the intel usb 3.0 drivers and let windows use it's built in 2.0 native support.  I'd really like to keep/fix the usb 3.0 speed.   Any thoughts??

Thanks ahead of time.
